KTM 390 Adventure Spotted Testing in India Ahead of Launch Next Year

KTM 390 Adventure was spotted with complete camouflage near Chakan, Pune. The model was seen with testing number plates, hinting at the launch event by the mid of 2019. The youngest adventure model belongs to the popular 390 series of KTM bikes and comes based on none other than the mighty 390 Duke. However, the purpose of KTM 390 Adventure has helped the motorcycle gain more practical parts than the street 390 Duke. The design lines at the front are similar to the bigger Adventure models as the LED headlight looks stretched and prominent in comparison to the street machines.

Being the most affordable model, KTM 390 Adventure could get fixed windscreen as a cost-cutting measure, stock leg guard that acts as the engine protector, extended fuel tank shrouds with air-cutting design, LED indicators and many more class-leading components. The front fender is placed like the regular bikes and thus, the model looks decent in comparison to the rival Royal Enfield Himalayan. The rear end comes with panels on the frame and adventure specific grab rails with space for loading the luggage and tying the same if no passenger is riding along with the rider on long distance rides.

The front and rear tire show an off-road specific pattern and alloy wheels can be switched for the spoke wheels on the top variant. The front USD forks will have long travel while mirrors are mounted on the handlebar on the testing version. The LCD TFT seen on the KTM 390 Adventure will be shared with the 390 Duke. The 373.2cc, single cylinder engine on the motorcycle is expected to produce 43.5 PS and 37 Nm of torque. It will feature dual-channel ABS, ride-by-wire and all-new exhaust design. The seats seen here are stuffed for maximum comfort of the rider and pillion.
