KTM RC 125 to Reportedly Launch in India by June 2019

KTM RC 125 was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads without any camouflage and the latest reports hint that the lightweight racer will be launched in India by June 2019. The high monthly sales number of 125 Duke has confirmed that Indian buyers are very excited to own a KTM machine at a much lower price tag than what they used to pay for the 200cc model in the country. The price gap of INR 37,000 between the 125 Duke and 200 Duke has helped the brand in gaining 3000 buyers every month (approximate figure). They wish to take the sales number higher by introducing the KTM RC 125 in India in the coming months.

KTM RC 125, the sure-shot success formula for India is expected to get a price tag under INR 1.50 lakh. At present, Yamaha is selling their R15 V3 at INR 1.40 lakh (ex-showroom). As it can be called the only rival for the displacement-restricted KTM RC 125, the first and last try from the brand would be to stay around the price tag of R15 V3. The 124.7cc, single cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 14.5 HP of maximum power and 12 Nm of maximum torque. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.

The balance between mileage and city-specific performance from the 125cc KTM engine makes it a gem for the lightweight motorcycle lovers. The launch of single-channel ABS models from KTM has already confirmed that RC 125 will use the safety tech on the front wheel. KTM seems to bring the high volume products before introducing the top-end 1290 Super Duke R in the country. The upcoming KTM 390 Adventure will also start another league of success for a brand that is already well-known for their off-road bikes in the global market. KTM is also expected to launch the 790 Duke in India in the coming weeks.
