The fully-faired supersport motorcycle KTM RC125 has been officially teased in a video by KTM India on its Instagram account. The bike has been in talks from a long time and it has created a lot of interest among the prospective buyers in India. The motorcycle is expected to go on sale in the coming days as the teaser also reveals the same by mentioning ‘Coming Soon’ at the end of the video. Also, according to some of the KTM dealers across India, the bookings for the RC 125 have begun at a token amount of INR 5000, which is fully refundable.

Mechanically, the bike will share most of the components with the 125 Duke. It will come powered with a 124.7cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled motor that produces 14.5 HP of max power with 12 Nm of peak torque. The engine will be mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The KTM RC125 is already available in select international markets from the past few years but in a different colour scheme.
The India-spec colour scheme for the sportbike also got leaked a few days ago, and in the teaser video, we get a hint of the same colour combination. Talking about the colour pattern for the bike, the primary colour is orange while black colour plays an important role in giving a unique presence to the KTM RC 125. The frame of the bike is painted in black while wheels are using orange paint, which is identical to the 125 Duke.
Considering the pricing, we can expect it to be priced at INR 1.50-1.55 lakh (ex-showroom) as the 125 Duke has got an updated price tag of INR 1.30 lakh. So it is fair to expect that the upcoming RC 125 will get a price hike of around INR 20,000-25,000 in comparison to the ex-showroom price of the 125 Duke. At this price point, the upcoming bike will compete with Yamaha R15 V3 and the Bajaj Pulsar RS200.
