3 New KTM Bikes Unveiled @ EICMA 2017

3 New KTM Bikes Unveiled: KTM recently unveiled 3 new products @ EICMA 2017. The new bikes belong to three different segment of motorcycling. Fans were even waiting for an all new design for the RC series but KTM focused just on the bigger bikes for the international market.

KTM 790 Duke was officially unveiled in its production version, carrying an all new design theme and unique panel placement for clear differentiation with bigger 1290 Super Duke. The all-new 799cc, liquid cooled, twin cylinder engine on the motorcycle is good for 105 HP at 9000 rpm and 86 Nm at 8000 rpm.

KTM 790 Adventure was another product based on this engine, currently showcased in its concept form and expected to arrive next year in its production version. The same will go under heavy testing before KTM unveils the actual middleweight tourer to the world.

Apart from these two bikes, a heavyweight tourer ‘1290 Super Adventure S’ was even unveiled at EICMA 2017. It came with a familiar 1301 cc, 140 Nm engine that shares its presence with 1290 Super Duke R. A premium tourer by nature, this S variant is equipped with alloy wheels and highway friendly parts in place of R variant’s spoke wheels and off-road ability enhancing components.

KTM India is presently selling around 4500 units every month, half of which comes from RC 200 and 200 Duke. KTM 250 Duke is the least popular version as buyers prefer moving into 390 segment directly from the 200cc machines. They are planning to produce the 790 Duke and Adventure series in India, bringing another ray of hope where the country could get these two bikes earlier than ever.
