The much-awaited 2017 model of KTM Duke has been spotted recently while testing in India (Video Courtesy: Konvicted Rider, YouTube Channel). Thanks to the the guy who has recorded this video, he also asked the test rider if the bike is Duke and the rider said YES! This confirms that KTM has started testing the next-generation Duke in India and the bike would be coming soon to the showrooms.

As of now, it is not clear whether the test bike is a 390 Duke or 200 Duke. Both bikes are expected to share the same design language and chassis. But as seen in the video, the bike seems to be a Duke 390 as it features exposed orange frame and side-mounted exhaust like the next-gen RC 390 available outside India.

The next-gen 390 Duke will get its power from the same 373.2 cc single-cylinder engine but it is expected to generate improved power and torque output along with Ride-by-Wire technology. The current generation model of Duke 390 generates maximum power and maximum torque of 43 HP and 35 NM respectively.

The KTM Duke 390 2017 version is expected to rule hearts and will continue to be one of the highest selling premium bikes in the market. Although a price escalation of Rs. 20,000-25,000 is expected for the new 2017 model of Duke 390 but we will still have to wait till the official unveil at 2016 EICMA Show in Milan (November 2016). After the unveil in November, the bike is expected to go on-sale in India by March 2017.

According to reports, the new engine will have a second counter-balancer shaft to reduce vibrations from the motor along with some changes with ECU and an improved cooling system. The 2017 Duke 390 will run on Metzeler tyres with disc brakes both at the front and rear with ABS, slipper clutch, and WP sourced mono-shock suspension setup.
