Lifan Hunter 125 is a Ducati Scrambler lookalike that would be on sale in Thailand from July 2017. It was launched recently in Thailand for THB 54,000 (approx INR 1.02 lakh) and can be selected in Red, Yellow and Black shade.
The minibike looks exactly like the Ducati Scrambler Icon and carries a smaller 125 cc engine that is air cooled and fuel injected. Not just the whole design, its single pod digital instrument console also looks the same as the one used on original Scrambler.
Hunter 125 gets the same LED headlight ring like the Ducati motorcycle. The seat is even kept brown while the minibike gets just 14 inch wheels on both the ends.
Lifan brings single petal disc brake for both the wheels while components like front USD forks and rear monoshock are also on offer. All of the shades get a Yellow handlebar while a rear tyre hugger is placed in order to save the pillion from a splash during wet roads.
Lifan Group is a Chinese brand that deals with cars, motorcycles and engines. They have a strong presence in China while other South Asian countries are catered according to their individual need.
This is not the first time when a Chinese brand has copied an exotic design from some other brand. One such example was recently witnessed in the form of Ducati Monster lookalike and Honda Grom sized Monster 110 from Quang Phuong Motor.
