According to a recent report from BikeAdvice, the BS6 Mahindra Mojo 300 will launch in India by the end of this month. The updated BS6-compliant model is not expected to get any major changes in terms of the looks though Mahindra is expected to introduce new colours and graphics to impart a fresh look to the BS6 model.
Mahindra Mojo is one of the most underrated motorcycles from the brand that currently lags the attention it very well deserves. Despite having a neo-retro design language, the motorcycle never clicked like some of the other products in its segment. In one of the other updates, Mahindra is also working on new Mojo exclusive dealerships to offer a one-of-a-kind experience to the enthusiasts.
The last update the Mojo got was in the form of a 2-channel ABS unit and it was launched with a price tag of INR 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). One can expect the BS6 Mahindra Mojo 300 to get a price hike of around INR 5,000 to INR 7,000.
To jog your memory, the BS4 Mahindra Mojo was powered by a 295cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder DOHC engine that was capable of churning out a maximum power of 26HP and a peak torque of 28Nm. The engine was mated to a 6-speed transmission. The BS6-compliant model is expected to generate more or less similar power and torque figures.
In terms of dimensions, the Mahindra Mojo 300 is 2115mm in length, 800mm in width and 1150mm in height. The wheelbase of the bike is 1460mm while it has a ground clearance of 165mm. The fuel tank capacity of the bike is 21-litres, and the kerb weight stands at 181.5kg. The specifications mentioned here are for the BS4 model.
