BS6-Ready Mahindra Mojo 300 with 2-Channel ABS Spotted

BS6-Ready Mahindra Mojo 300 with 2-Channel ABS Spotted

2019 Mahindra Mojo 300 with 2-channel ABS was recently spotted before its official launch in India. The motorcycle is primarily an improved version of the older model, carrying certain changes that will result in one instead of two different models in the lineup.

The powerful engine from the XT300 and cost-effective components from the UT300 are seen under a single body to bring the same to an expected INR 1.60 lakh price tag in 2019. The tires used here are Pirelli Angel CT while suspension now stays the same as conventional UT300 forks. The front and rear disc brakes are now ABS-equipped.

Mahindra has ditched the dual exhaust pipes for this single metallic unit while brake callipers are sourced from ByBre. The twin headlights from the Mojo are retained on the 2019 model while fuel injection will now stay standard due to upcoming BS6 norms.

Mahindra will definitely share the dual channel ABS with Jawa bikes and starting price for the Mojo will be kept under the current-gen price tag of INR 1.64 lakh of the Jawa 42 with dual channel ABS. At present, the engines of all these bikes are BS6-Ready and will be made BS6-Compliant once the deadline comes near for the Indian market.

While most fans were thinking that Mahindra would have left the business due to Mojo being a non-ABS model, the recent spy shots confirm that they have no plans of leaving the segment that is becoming more popular day by day. Mahindra Mojo is an iconic name for the 300cc segment as the same entered here when most brands were not even planning to jump the 250cc barrier.

For 2019, the Mahindra Mojo 300 will rival BMW G310 series, KTM 250 Duke, Bajaj Dominar 400, Honda CB300R, and other similar sized products. The price tag of under INR 1.60 lakh will further ensure that buyers do not keep on thinking for the new Dominar while making a decision.
