Mahindra MGP30 is as unique as something you can imagine in the first go. The name sounds familiar but believe me, it’s century ahead of whatever you have ever heard from the popular Indian SUV manufacturer.
The Moto3 racer from Mahindra is not a regular 249cc bike and that becomes clear with its 0-100 kmph time of just 3 seconds. If something more than that need your attention, the claimed top speed of 240 kmph will further raise eyebrows for sure.
When it was drawn for the first time, folks at Mahindra came up with a production version in just six months.
First raced at 2013 World Championship, the motorcycle has since then became an integral part of Moto3 racing.
The most surprising fact is its weight, tipping the scale at just 81 kg and allowing this impressive machine to win every corner that comes into its way. Quick change of direction, rigid straight road drive and impressive road grip makes Mahindra MGP30 a champion on the track.
It is seen with dual front disc brakes, Ohlins fully adjustable suspension, Dunlop tyres, Brembo calipers and SC project/Akrapovic exhaust. The fuel tank on MGP30 can hold up to 10 liters of petrol in a single refill. The engine used here is 4-stroke and has DOHC setup.
Mahindra Racing Team was the first Indian brand to participate in FIM MotoGP racing and further entered Moto3 through their MGP30. The brand is well known for perfectly crafted machines like Mahindra Mojo and XUV500 but not everyone knows that they have registered 14 wins with their MGP30 in international championships.
Mahindra MGP30 must be a very expensive machine as it uses the finest available components around this segment. The same performance that it delivers can be seen in liter class bikes but it just carries one-fourth of their displacement.
