Live Photos: Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS Starts Reaching Dealerships

Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS Spotted Again: After getting an unsatisfactory sales response of Mojo 300, certain speculations of the brand discontinuing the model circulated around. The rumours have turned out to be false as the Mahindra Mojo with dual-channel ABS has been spotted recently at a dealership.

The brand has decided to keep the Mojo 300 ahead in the competition by offering a bunch of other updates to the motorcycle in addition to the 2-channel ABS unit. The newly updated Mahindra Mojo will be replacing both the XT 300 and UT 300 variants of the existing motorcycle. The 2019 model of the bike will be equipped with Pirelli Angel CT tyres as standard.

The ABS model can be seen with almost identical features as that of the Mojo’s more affordable UT 300 variant. The under-seat cowl of the motorcycle now features “300 ABS” badging while the blacked-out features with a single-sided exhaust canister and a thin tail section give it an authentic look.

The brand has also revised the rake angle for more comfortable and confident handling in the city. The 2019 model of the Mojo features telescopic forks at the front, taking inspiration from the UT 300 model. In comparison, the XT 300 variant was equipped with USD (Upside Down) front forks.

At the rear, the suspension duties are handled by a monoshock absorber. The braking power is offered by a 320mm single disc brake at the front and a 240mm single disc at the rear, further assisted by a dual-channel ABS unit.

Powering the Mahindra Mojo 300 ABS is a 295cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that is capable of generating a maximum power of 27 HP and an utmost torque of 30 Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The motorcycle is also equipped with fuel injection technology making it ready for the BSVI emission norms which will be in effect from April 1, 2020. The brand is expected to make the engine BS6-compliant in early 2020.

The upcoming model of Mojo 300 will compete in the market with the likes of Bajaj Dominar 400, Royal Enfield Classic 350, KTM 390 Duke, BMW G310R, TVS Apache RR 310, and the Honda CB300R. The motorcycle is expected to be priced around INR 1.70 lakh (ex-showroom).
