Mash Desert Force 400 Retro Cruiser Motorcycle Unveiled
Retro motorcycles are one of the most niche products in the automobile world whose fan following seems no bound. Since there aren’t enough brands that churn out army-inspired motorcycles except for Royal Enfield, the French motorcycle manufacturer Mash needs to be recognised by the world.
The motorcycle manufacturer launched the Mash Force 400 back in 2019 while its MY2020 update by the name Mash Desert Force 400 is an exceptionally splendid addition to the army-inspired motorcycles around the world.
The vintage military-inspired cruiser has been specifically designed like its predecessor and features similar traits when compared to US Army cruiser motorcycles that were famous for their design language back in the 1950s.
Coming to the design, the Mash Desert Force 400 gets a vintage fuel tank design mated to spring seats. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with a twin exhaust system while the front fender has been shod with a vertical number plate. The vintage motorcycle has been equipped with some modern features like ABS, all-digital console, front disc brake as well as a fuel-injected engine though the retro profile seems to be highlighting its overall profile.
Powering the motorcycle is a 397cc air-cooled engine that is borrowed from its 2019 variant. The motorcycle in its MY2019 avatar was capable of generating maximum power of 27HP and a peak torque of 30Nm. One can expect the MY2020 variant to feature almost similar output figures when compared to the last-gen variant.
The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear features dual shock absorbers. The brand has equipped the Mash Desert Force 400 with a disc brake at the front while the rear features a drum brake unit mated to a single-channel ABS. The motorcycle gets dual-purpose tyres while the fuel tank capacity stands at 13 litres.
The MY2020 Force 400 is available at a price tag of 4,995 Euros (approx INR 4.10 lakh) while the brand will only churn out 103 production units of the motorcycle which further indicates that it will not be available outside European markets anytime soon.
