The 2020 MV Agusta Superveloce 800 has been recently unveiled by the brand ahead of the EICMA 2019. The retro-modern bike gets a price tag of 19,900 euros (approx INR 15.66 lakh), which is far more affordable when compared to the Superveloce 800 Serie Oro that made its debut at the EICMA last year.
Commenting on the launch of the Superveloce 800, the officials said: “Superveloce 800 Serie Oro and Superveloce 800 bring MV Agusta’s timeless fascination to the roads, with their intoxicating curves, classic and contemporary at the same time. The engine and the chassis are the pinnacles of engineering that positions the Superveloce 800 among the most fascinating and dynamic sports bikes on the scene.”
Coming to the splendid design language, the 2020 MV Agusta Superveloce 800 is equipped with almost identical features as its limited-edition Serie Oro variant though the wire-spoke wheels, as well as the twin-pod exhaust unit, has been left out. Instead, the brand has equipped the motorcycle with three-pod exhaust unit borrowed from the F3 800 in addition to an alloy wheel setup.
The brand has equipped the motorcycle with a split seat setup in contrast to the single-seat saddle offered to the limited-edition variant. The rear seat setup of the motorcycle mimics the rear cowl for a rather unique look. The fuel tank of the motorcycle has also been tweaked and now features a flush-type filler cap. The rear tyre hugger of the MV Agusta Superveloce 800 has been further equipped with number plate as well as the blinkers.
The retro-inspired round LED setup in addition to the body-coloured windscreen has been retained for the 2020 MV Agusta Superveloce 800. The customers can avail the motorcycle in Ago Red/Dark Metallic Matt Grey and Ice Pearl White/Dark Metallic Matt Grey/Ago Red colour options.
Powering the motorcycle is a 798cc liquid-cooled, three-cylinder, 12-valve engine that is capable of generating a maximum power figure of 148HP @ 13,000 rpm and a peak torque of 88Nm @ 10,900 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with MV EAS 2.0 (Electronically Assisted Shift up & down) quick-shifter.
