MV Agusta and Loncin Motorcycles announced their partnership in July 2019 and now the brands have promised to introduce sub-500cc motorcycles in the Indian market. According to the recent reports, the brands will be unveiling their first product in the said category by the end of the year 2020 or in early 2021.
Kinetic Motoroyale is responsible for offering MV Agusta motorcycles in the country while one can expect the new motorcycles to be available via the same dealerships. The reports suggest that the MV Agusta-Loncin treaty will be churning out four new motorcycle variants in India though it is not yet confirmed whether they will be assembled locally or not.
The partnership treaty between the two brands will be offering new motorcycles in the supersport, naked streetfighter, adventure tourer, and neo-retro portfolio. The reports suggest that the upcoming small capacity motorcycles will feature the design dynamics borrowed from the rich MV Agusta’s history while at the same time will feature unique sound characteristics and mechanical configurations.
The partnership between the two brands will offer motorcycles starting from 300cc displacement, going all the way up to 500cc engine capacity. The brand will be pricing the motorcycles competitively while all the four upcoming products will get a subsequent premium over the existing motorcycles in this segment.
The recent buzz suggests that the production part of the upcoming motorcycles will be taken care of by Loncin while MV Agusta will be responsible for development. The partnership between the Italian and Chinese brand will focus on bringing out an exclusive and efficiently engineered range of motorcycles for the audience. The same route has been taken by TVS and BMW-Motorrad partnership.
MV Agusta recently launched its much-awaited Turismo Veloce 800 in India. The brand is offering only the standard variant of the motorcycle in India while the customers in the international markets can avail the Veloce 800 in three other variants apart from the standard one.
