MV Agusta Brutale 800 RR has been launched in India for INR 18.99 lakh. For those who feel the name familiar, MV Agusta retails Brutale 800 in India for INR 15.59 lakh, listing it among a small number of bikes with much bigger price tags than their engine segment. The motorcycle will retail through Motoroyale dealership network that is managed by none other than the Kinetic Group. The entry of SWM, FB Mondial, and Hyosung to the package has helped MV Agusta and Norton find some viewers that at least pay a visit for the economically (in comparison to these two) priced bikes.
The only differentiating factor for RR variant is the fuel tank styling, getting RR moniker on both the sides and keeping other factors like the headlight, premium swingarm and triple output exhaust design similar to the regular version. If not considered visually, the engine on the Brutale 800 RR is tuned for high performance, which is actually more than any other naked street machine of its segment. The 798cc, inline-3 engine is good for 140 HP at 12,300 rpm and 87 Nm at 10,100 rpm. In comparison, the standard model is good for just 109 HP and 83 Nm.
MV Agusta claims 244 kph of top speed for the RR variant. The 8-level traction control and four riding modes make this 175 kg motorcycle the safest one in its segment. The motorcycle features 320mm dual disc brakes and Marzocchi USD forks at the front while rear comes with single 220mm disc brake and Sachs fully adjustable monoshock. The rivals for Brutale 800 RR includes Ducati Monster 821 but, the price tag compares the same with much bigger Monster 1200, which is priced at INR 20.10 lakh. The bigger Monster is good for 147 hp and 124 Nm, even after weighing just 185 kg.
