Hungarian brand Keeway has continuously expanded its portfolio in India since its official entry in the country. In this context, Keeway has released the K300 in two variants: K300 N (Naked) and K300 R (Racing). Both promise explosive performance and have been launched in India via AARI (Adishwar Auto Ride India – Benelli), Hyderabad.
Both the K300 N and K300 R are powered by the same 292cc single-cylinder that benefits from a DOHC setup and liquid cooling. This engine is capable of producing a peak power of 27.5 hp at 8,750 rpm and a peak torque of 25 Nm at 7,000 rpm. It gets a 6-speed transmission system and power is sent to the rear sprocket via a chain drive.
Other key parts of the bike are the 37mm USD front forks, while the rear is suspended by a mono-shock unit. Disc brakes are standard at both ends. A 292mm disc up front with opposed four-piston callipers and a 220mm disc out back with a single-piston calliper. In addition to a friction clutch, two-channel ABS is also offered. The new Keeway 300cc motorcycles have alloy wheels with 110/70-17 rubber on the front and 140/60-17 rubber on the rear.
Both Keeway products have dual drive modes to control power. In terms of design, both bikes have an aggressive-looking front end with an angled fuel tank, split seat design, under-belly exhaust and short tail section. Both also get LED lighting solutions, the only exception being the body style.
K300 N is available in three shades, matt white, matt red and matt black. While the K300 R is available in the same shades and is offered in a glossy finish called Glossy White, Glossy Red and Glossy Black.
Both Keeway K300N and K300R are available for test drives and reservations can be made for a nominal fee of Rs. 10,000 via the Keeway website or resellers. The manufacturer promises to start deliveries at the end of September.
Keeway K300 N competes with KTM 250 Duke and 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, Bajaj Dominar series and Honda CB300F. K300 R competes with KTM RC 390, BMW G 310 RR and the Apache RR 310. Here is the colour-wise ex-showroom price list for the new motorcycles:
