The live photos of the upcoming Blacksmith B2 have surfaced online, leaving the future buyers with an exact idea of the much-hyped electric cruiser motorcycle. The extra-long motorcycle is preparing for an early 2020 launch event, with test mule doing rounds on the streets before the final version enters mass production.
The motorcycle is said to use a 5kW electric motor with 72V lithium-ion battery for a top speed of 120 kph and 120 km of overall range when riding economically. The motorcycle comes with modern safety touches to its body, featuring smart indications through rear lights and other parts used around the area.
Blacksmith B2 comes with an easy to replace battery mechanism that will help future owners exchange the same through kiosks meant for battery swapping. The electric motorcycle comes with a 0-50 kph time of just 3.7 seconds while double battery pack can bring up to 240 kilometres of range to the motorcycle. The setup takes 4 hours to charge through a regular port, keeping in mind if the buyer plans to charge the battery at home or in the office. Both the wheels are available with disc brakes while loading capacity and ground clearance is 200 kg and 200mm respectively.
The bike measures 2200mm in length, 800mm in width and 1150mm in height. The front comes with telescopic forks as standard. The electric motorcycle segment is getting tighter day by day as most brands are venturing into this space for a carbon emission reduction.
The seats of Blacksmith B2 look very comfortable while unique fender finish can help the rider turn heads when riding within the city limits. The extensive use of chrome and huge rear seat makes sure that comfort will not be compromised at all. The electric motorcycle is expected to get a price tag of around INR 1.50 lakh in India.
