Revolt Electric Motorcycle Price Increased – Battery Warranty Reduced

Recently, the price and warranty of the Revolt Electric Motorcycles have been updated. This motorcycle, which is India’s first all-electric motorcycle, uses a 3.24kW lithium-ion battery. When it was released back in 2019, it came with 8 years of warranty or a total of 1,50,000 km, whichever comes first.

As per one of the recent media reports, the battery warranty has been reduced to 6 years or a total of 1,00,000 km, whichever comes first. Along with the reduction in the duration of the battery warranty, the price of the motorcycle has been increased by Rs 18,000, and it is now available with a starting price tag of Rs 1.25 lakhs.

Other EV companies, like Ola, etc., provide their customers with a battery warranty of not more than three years, which is very little in comparison to Revolt. The RV400 electric motorcycle is powered by a 72V, 3.24kWh lithium-ion battery that delivers power to a 3kW electric motor, which generates a max torque of 54 Nm. The motorcycle has a top speed of 85 kmph and offers a mileage of 156 kilometres on a single charge. It takes a total of 4.5 hours to charge completely.

The braking system comprises front and rear disc brakes with a suspension system consisting of upside-down forks at the front and a monoshock absorber at the rear. The front carries elegant LED headlamps with integrated DRLs and LED indicators. The bike comes with Bluetooth connectivity and navigation, and there is also a low battery indicator.

Earlier this year, in October, Revolt announced plans to expand its footprint in India by launching motorcycles in 70 cities in the upcoming months. This project will cover 26 states and union territories in India. Currently, Revolt is retailing RV400 in just six places in India, which include Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, and Chennai.
