Revolt Electric Motorcycles Officially Launched in India

Revolt Motors has officially launched two new Revolt electric motorcycles in India by the name RV300 and RV400. Both the motorcycles can be availed with “My Revolt Plan” payment scheme, a unique payment system that allows the customers to avail the motorcycles at minimal prices. According to the brand, the entry-level Revolt RV300 can be availed at a price tag of INR 2,999 per month for 37 consecutive months.

On the other hand, the base model of the Revolt RV400 can be availed by the customers at INR 3,499 per month for three consecutive years while the top-spec RV400 Premium gets a price tag of INR 3,999, which has to be paid every month for three years.

The unique payment plan has made it possible for multiple buyers across the country to register the motorcycle in their name. All they have to do is bring in the Adhaar card and the required one-month payment to avail the Revolt motorcycle from the dealerships.

According to the officials, My Revolt Plan (MRP) is a “no rental, no lease plan that offers customers full ownership from Day 1 and requires no down payment”.

Coming to the differences between the base and top model of the Revolt RV400, the brand has given the artificial exhaust sound feature a miss for the base model. In addition to this, the base RV400 lacks the start-stop function that can be operated via the dedicated smartphone application.

Talking about the Revolt RV300, the motorcycle gets a smaller 1.5kW hub-mounted motor while the kerb weight of the bike scales at 101kgs. The company-claimed top speed of the bike stands at 65kmph as compared to 85kmph offered by the RV400. In addition to this, the motorcycle claims a range of 180km in Eco Mode while the normal mode and sport mode offers a range of 110km and 80km respectively.

The braking duties on the motorcycle are handled by a 240mm disc brake at the front and a 180mm disc brakes at the rear. The Revolt RV300 gets USD telescopic forks at the front while the rear features an adjustable monoshock. The battery can be charged up to 75% in just 3 Hours. The RV300 takes 4.2 hours for a full charge of the battery.

On the other hand, powering the Revolt RV400 is a 3.24kW lithium-ion battery that claims a range of 156 km on a single charge of the battery. The top speed of the RV400 stands at 85 kmph while the motorcycle can be charged at home via the normal 15A charger. The battery requires 3 hours for charging up to 75% while the full charge requires 4.5 hours. The kerb weight of the RV400 stands at 108 kgs while it gets a ground clearance of 215mm.

Both the Revolt electric motorcycles have been subjected to stringent tests to check the overall battery backup in addition to water resistance, durability in different conditions, cycle life and more. The brand is offering free maintenance benefits up to 3 years/30,000km in addition to battery warranty up to eight years or 1.5 lakh kilometres, free insurance as well as product warranty up to 75000km with every purchase of the Revolt electric motorcycles.

Revolt Motors is also offering a connected helmet made in partnership with Google that allows the rider to start the motorcycle with a voice command. According to the brand, the deliveries for the motorcycles will commence from the 1st week of September 2019.
