The launch of India’s first all-electric bike, Revolt RV400, has been shifted from 7th August to somewhere around the end of the same month. Although the previous launch date was announced with much excitement in June 2019, the exact reason for the delay is not clear yet.
It is being speculated that owing to the GST rate reduction by the government on electric vehicles, the brand will now work again on the pricing strategy, and it could be one of the reasons for the delay. No such information has been officially reported from the company’s side for the event. This is the 2nd time the brand has delayed the launch, as earlier, the launch date was shifted from 22nd July to 7th August.
The RV400 by Revolt has received a positive response from Indian customers as a total of 2,500 bookings have been recorded to date. It is an interesting thing that bookings for the electric vehicle are still open at Amazon and at the company’s official website with a token amount of INR 1,000, that is fully refundable.
The country’s first electric vehicle will initially be available in cities like Delhi and Pune. The company may further plan to expand the market in other metropolitan cities. Revolt Motors has come up with extraordinary options for charging the vehicle.
Apart from standard ways of charging, the company has provided an add-on facility where you can remove the battery to be able to charge it at a place where it suits you, you can get an all-new battery at a mobile swap station and you can also place an order for the battery from any given location for someone to deliver it to you.
The Revolt RV400 is capable to cover a distance of about 156kms at full-charge and can touch a peak speed of 85kmph. The all-electric motorcycle comprises of extraordinary features like geofencing, which will prevent its usage beyond a certain radius, in case of theft. The e-Bike is equipped with Bluetooth connectivity that has been provided to ensure a better user experience.
The RV400 is equipped with USD front telescopic forks and the rear end features a monoshock. The bike comes with LED illumination, front and rear disc brakes, plus the bike also features an AI system that will guide you while your ride and the performance will accordingly adjust with your riding style.
