Royal Enfield Bullet 500 was recently updated on the company’s official website. The flagship Bullet now comes with electronic fuel injection (EFi) and produces more power from its single cylinder, 499 cc motor. It is now good for 27.2 BHP @ 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The carburetor model was restricted to 26.1 BHP at 5100 rpm and 40.9 Nm at 3800 rpm. The other differences include 1 kg increase in wet weight and 10 mm shortening of its wheelbase. Unlike the model available in UK, Royal Enfield has not introduced ABS and rear disc brake for Bullet 500 in India, it still comes with single disc brake setup.
2017 Royal Enfield Bullet 500 EFi Now Available in India
Bullet 500 is offered in Black, Forest Green and Marsh Grey shades in India. The design of the same is based on the same old Bullet lineup with square rear arch and single ribbed seat. It shares most of its parts with Classic 500 but carries the iconic Bullet name in its nomenclature. The handlebar position of Bullet and Classic series is also different from each other. While the Classic 500 is projected as a single seater with optional rear seat, Bullet 500 even offers a small rear backrest as standard.
Unlike the Bullet 350, the flagship Bullet comes with electric starter, front disc brake and better tyres. The front wheel measures 90/90-19 while the rear used here is 120/80-18. It carries a 13.5 liter fuel tank and uses a brighter 60W/55 bulb than the Bullet 350. Royal Enfield has not yet announced the price officially for the Bullet 500 EFi. The current price for the Bullet 500 is INR 1.57 lakh while addition of fuel injection could raise it by a considerable margin. Royal Enfield has even introduced fuel injection in its Himalayan on the official website.
