Royal Enfield has officially showcased three new colour variants of the Royal Enfield Himalayan motorcycle at the EICMA 2019. The brand is likely to launch the 2020 variant of the adventure motorcycle with new colour variants as well as BS6 engine before the new emission norms commence in the country from April 1, 2020.
The 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan will be available to the customers in additional “Gravel Grey” colour variant, which is a combination of matte grey with blackened-out fenders as well as the fuel tank. In addition to this, the brand will be offering the motorcycle in “Rock Red” and “Lake Blue” colour variants.
The “Rock Red” colour option features a bright glossy red fuel tank while the “Lake Blue” features a dual-tone combination of glossy blue and white on the fuel tank. In addition to this, the brand has also equipped the red and blue colour variants with matching frame guards as well as grab rails.
Powering the current-gen Himalayan variant is a BS4-compliant 411cc, single-cylinder engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 24.5HP @ 6500 rpm and a peak torque of 32Nm @ 4250-4500 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
One can expect the new colour variants of the motorcycle to be equipped with a BS6-compliant engine that will further alter the power output though, the official details will be revealed at the time of launch itself, which is expected to happen in early 2020.
