The 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan has been recently launched in the Indian market with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 1.87 lakh. The BS6 model of the Himalayan adventure motorcycle is available in six shades namely Snow White, Granite Black, Gravel Grey, Sleet Grey, Lake Blue, and Rock Red. Here is the colour-wise ex-showroom price list of the BS6-compliant model of the Himalayan:
The 2020 model of the RE Himalayan is powered by a BS6-compliant 411cc single-cylinder fuel-injected air-cooled engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 24.3 Bhp @ 6500 rpm with a peak torque of 32Nm @ 4000-4500 rpm.
In comparison to the BS4 model, which was good for 24.5 Bhp, the power of the adventure motorcycle has been dropped by 0.2 Bhp. The maximum torque, on the other hand, remains the same while the engine also continues to be mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Apart from the addition of the new dual-tone colours, there are no major changes in terms of looks as the BS6 model looks more or less similar to the BS4-compliant model of the motorcycle. The kerb weight of the updated model of the Himalayan has increased by 5kgs and it now stands at 199kg.
In terms of features, the BS6-compliant model of the Himalayan has been equipped with a switchable 2-channel ABS unit in addition to the hazard light switch that is placed on the left-hand side of the instrument console, which has been further updated with a white-backlight setup.
