2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan Spotted Ahead of Launch Tomorrow

2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan Spotted Ahead of Launch: The much-awaited 2021 model of Himalayan adventure motorcycle has been spotted once again ahead of official launch tomorrow (11th February). Earlier, the new model was expected to launch in India last month, but somehow, the launch got delayed due to unknown reasons.

As we reported earlier, the 2021 RE Himalayan will be available in three new colours: Mirage Silver, Pine Green, and an updated version of the Granite Black shade. With the introduction of these three colours, Royal Enfield would be discontinuing the Snow White, Sleet Grey, and the plain version of the Granite Black colour option. In addition to the three new colour options, the MY2021 RE Himalayan will continue to be available in Lake Blue, Rock Red, and Gravel Grey.

The upcoming bike has been recently spotted in the Mirage Silver colour combination and the major update comes in the form of RE’s Tripper Navigation system with turn-by-turn navigation and Google Maps. The Tripper Navigation feature was first seen on the Meteor 350 cruiser motorcycle and the rider can use the same by connecting his/her smartphone via Bluetooth. One can easily spot the Tripper Navigation pod mounted on the extreme right side of the updated Himlayan’s instrument console.

Mechanically, no changes are expected and the MY2021 RE Himalayan will continue to be powered by the same 411cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, air-cooled engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 24.3 Bhp @ 6500 rpm with a peak torque of 32Nm @ 4000-4500 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan is set to be priced slightly higher than the current-gen model, which is priced between INR 1.91-1.96 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi).
