300cc vs 500cc Bikes – Royal Enfield vs Jawa – Drag Race

Here is the video of the drag race between the two strongest bikes from the most popular brands in the country. This video has been posted by the YouTube channel named LiveRider. The motorcycles in the video are the Royal Enfield Classic 500 and the Jawa Classic 300. However, there can not be direct competition between both bikes because the RE here is 500cc and the Jawa belongs to the 300cc-segment. Nonetheless, it’s fascinating to watch the race between these two titans. Here is the drag race video:

The video starts with the introduction of both bikes by the vlogger. During the race, the vlogger was riding the Jawa Classic 300 and his friend was on the Royal Enfield Classic 500. The Royal Enfield Classic 500 maintained the lead throughout the race and won it. However, the vlogger was expecting the Jawa Classic 300 to be the winner. It also needs to be mentioned that the race was conducted on a small-distance road, and probably that’s why RE won.

Talking about the features of both bikes, the Royal Enfiled Classic 500 Desert Storm used here is the model which was discontinued from the Indian two-wheeler market back in 2020. The bike sports retro-styling and is powered by a 499cc single-cylinder air-cooled 4-stroke spark-ignition engine which is capable of producing 27.2 hp max power at 5250 rpm and 41.3 Nm max torque at 4000 rpm and is coupled with a 5-speed constant mesh gearbox.

On the other hand, the Jawa Classic 300 is a 2021 model and is powered by a 293cc, single-cylinder, DOHC, liquid-cooled engine which is mated to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox and churns out 27.33 hp max power and 27.02 Nm max torque. Also, the Royal Enfield Classic 500 is BS-IV compliant motorcycle, while the Jawa Classic 300 is BS-VI compliant.
