As we all know, Royal Enfield has been working on a slew of new motorcycles for quite a long time now. And hence, we saw various test mules on overseas roads in the past. The Shotgun 650, which was unveiled as the SG650 Concept at the 2021 EICMA, has been spotted testing. The motorcycle seen in the images is production-ready and indicates some new features.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Shotgun 650 has been spotted without any camouflage this time, however, it was with the top box and connected wires, which can be due to range testing.
In the new set of images, the headlamp unit appears to be in final form. Having traditional indicators, the bike also has an LED headlamp, which is a new addition for RE bikes.
The test bike gets a twin-pod instrument cluster, which hints that a bigger unit could display information like speedometer, odometer, fuel level, and the smaller one with tripper navigation. Speaking of the next prominent changes, the bike sports USD front forks and twin rear shocks. With the brand new alloy wheel design, the upcoming Shotgun 650 looks fresh.
In terms of powertrain, the engine specifications for the new Royal Enfield 650 bobber are the same as those for the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650. This 648cc, twin-cylinder, air/oil-cooled engine is capable of churning out 47 HP at 7,150rpm and 52 Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. This engine is coupled to a 6-speed constant mesh gearbox.
