7000 Royal Enfield Motorcycles Recalled (Quick Report): 7000 units of Royal Enfield Bullet series motorcycles manufactured between March 20 to April 30 2019, are listed under voluntary recall, with the brand executing free replacement of the faulty brake caliper bolt of the motorcycle. The recall is one responsible gesture where the brand felt that the quality of the bolt was not up to the RE standards and needs replacement with a better one.
The dealerships are calling the owners to connect with them regarding the issue and get the same replaced free of cost. The affected motorcycles belong to both the 350cc and 500cc variant of the popular and highly-desired Bullet motorcycle series. Here is the official statement issued by the brand:
“This is because service investigations revealed that the torque maintained on brake calliper bolts, as supplied by the vendor, on a few of these motorcycles were not as per stringent Royal Enfield quality standards. Brake calliper bolt is an essential part of braking system securing the brake hose and brake calliper. This voluntary service action will be undertaken on close to 7,000 motorcycles that were retailed during the said period. All concerned customers are being called for a service intervention, and various stakeholders are being informed accordingly.”
