Royal Enfield is all set to start its 2022 vehicle launch with the all-new Scram 411 motorcycle. According to the last few reports, it was revealed that Royal Enfield will launch the Scram in February 2022, but now as mentioned by the sources, it is believed that this launch has been delayed due to the Covid-19 epidemic and now the company will launch the new motorcycle in March instead of February. To be exact, the RE Scram 411 will make its official debut on March 15, 2022.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Himalayan-based Scram 411 has been spotted testing a number of times in the past few days as well. The motorcycle has got some aesthetic updates, which distinguish it from the Himalayan. For example, while the Himalayan gets a tall windscreen, the Scram 411 features a small visor, and that too is an accessory. Apart from this, it also gets a single-piece seat, a cast metal cowl around the headlamp, an aluminium sump guard and more.
The hardware and mechanicals of this new bike from Royal Enfield take inspiration from the Himalayan. The Scram 411 will be powered by the same 411cc, single-cylinder, SOHC, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that generates a power of 24.3 hp and a max torque of 32 Nm in Himalayan and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
If we talk about the cycle parts, the Royal Enfield Scram 411 features telescopic forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. For braking, it features a dual-channel ABS unit with disc brakes at both ends. However, it gets a smaller 19-inch front tyre compared to the 21-inch unit of the Himalayan, while the rear tyre is of the same size as 17-inch.
The upcoming Royal Enfield Scram 411 features an offset speedometer with a tripper navigation pod. It will also get features like Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. The ex-showroom price of the upcoming motorcycle is likely to be under Rs. 2 lakhs. There is no other bike in India to compete with the Royal Enfield Scram 411 bike. Although indirectly, it will compete with bikes like Bajaj Dominar 250 and Suzuki Gixxer 250.
