All-New 450cc Royal Enfield Bike Spotted For the First Time

Under Royal Enfield’s current lineup expansion strategy, it is actively working on plenty of new bikes, and one of them is the all-new 450cc bike. Recently, the forthcoming 450cc bike test mule was spotted testing for the first time on Indian roads. Based on a completely new design language, this new motorcycle is anticipated to hit markets in the first quarter of 2023, and we could see it during the 2023 Auto Expo in Delhi, which is set to take place in January of next year.

As per the sources, the upcoming bike is codenamed K1 and will be a premium ADV offering by the Chennai-based two-wheeler maker. The bike might emerge as a competent substitute for the KTM 390 Adventure, BMW G310GS, and other similar Adv bikes. The stylistic characteristics visible in the latest spy photograph include a tall-set front fender, a circular headlamp, a small windshield, split-style seats, a side-slung exhaust, and wire-spoke wheels.

Besides this, the forthcoming adventure tourer, like the present Himalayan, will have 21-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. The motorcycle’s hardware includes upside-down front forks, a rear mono-shock, and disc brakes on both wheels. The Himalayan 450 features a tiny windscreen, a trendier fuel tank design, and a single-piece seat, among other elements that give it a distinct personality. It may be outfitted with a new digital instrument panel.

Furthermore, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 will be powered by a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine with a maximum power output of 40 horsepower. The Himalayan 450, like other Adv bikes, will prioritise low and mid-range performance. The torque for the Himalayan 450 is yet to be confirmed. The existing Himalayan is powered by a 411cc engine that produces 24.3 horsepower and 32 Nm. It’s paired with a 5-speed, constant mesh gearbox.
