All-New Royal Enfield Bobber Teased; Official Unveil @ EICMA 2018

Royal Enfield Bobber was recently teased by the Indian manufacturer, showing an all-new product with a unique stance and extended wheelbase. The start of EICMA 2018 will mark the entry of third Royal Enfield product with a twin-cylinder engine under the fuel tank. The image seen here throw some light on the basic designing and also, hints that the engine used here will be shared with the 650 Twins. The wrap around the fuel tank area can be partially seen hiding a grille similar to Interceptor 650, most probably being an oil-cooler part like the upcoming 650cc option.

The clearest part is the Bobber style front headlight with LED illumination and partial rings. The extended front fascia can be compared to the Indian Scout Bobber while a closer look reveals alloy wheels instead of regular spoke rims. The fender is also shorter than what most Royal Enfield bikes offer as stock. The handlebar is flat and comfortable, hiding the original shape of the fuel tank that the manufacturer will use for its new bike. Royal Enfield Bobber comes with a strict single seat with a raised rear area for that perfect Bobber feel. The exhaust seems bolder than regular Royal Enfield bikes.

EICMA 2018 is starting on November 6, bringing a host of new products from global brands. The hype for new products is intentionally created before the show as the platform makes products globally popular in a single shot. Royal Enfield’s plan of unveiling the new Bobber at EICMA clears that they will go for the bigger engine and target developed markets in the first phase. As with the 650 Twins, the Bobber may also go on sale first in the US and European market. The brand is now listed among top Indian manufacturers with more sales number than even Suzuki India.
