The much-awaited BS6 Royal Enfield 650 Twins have been officially launched in India with a starting price tag of INR 2.65 lakh (ex-showroom). The updated motorcycle variants are priced approximately INR 8,500-INR 9,500 higher when compared to their BS4 counterparts. Apart from the addition of a BS6-compliant engine, the Royal Enfield 650 Twins feature a similar design as well as the colour schemes when compared to the BS4 versions.
Powering the BS6 Royal Enfield 650 Twins is the same 648cc, fuel-injected, parallel-twin engine while the brand has not yet listed the updated power and torque figures on its official website. For reference, the BS4-compliant engine on the 650cc Twins was good for a maximum power of 47HP and a peak torque of 52Nm. The engine remains mated to a 6-speed transmission.
