BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey Spotted

The BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey has been spotted for the first time. The motorcycle has started reaching the dealership yards ahead of the official launch in the coming days. Not to be mistaken with the next-gen 2020 Royal Enfield Classic series, the motorcycle you see here is the current-gen model of the Classic 350 with a BS6-compliant engine.

As we reported earlier, the launch of the all-new Royal Enfield motorcycles has been delayed by a few months and according to the latest buzz, the 2020 RE range with a new design and engine will now launch around June this year.

The BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey Gets EFI to Meet the Upcoming Emission Norms

Coming back to the current-gen BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey, the motorcycle features minor changes in terms of the overall design. The mechanical specifications of the updated Royal Enfield Classic 350 include a BS6-compliant version of the existing 346cc, single-cylinder engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 19.8Bhp and a peak torque of 28Nm. The engine will remain mated to a 5-speed transmission.

One can clearly spot “EFI 350” written on the engine in one of the spy photos. The brand has equipped the motorcycle with an electronic fuel injection technology, a catalytic converter and an oxygen sensor to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms, which will be implemented in the Indian market on April 1 this year.

BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey is Also Equipped with Factory-Fitted Alloy Wheels

Along with making the current-gen Classic 350 BS6-compliant, Royal Enfield has also equipped the motorcycle with factory-fitted alloy wheels and a slightly different exhaust muffler with a bigger heat shield. Apart from these changes, the motorcycle remains exactly similar to the BS4 model. As far as the pricing is concerned, the BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gunmetal Grey is expected to get an ex-showroom price tag of around INR 1.60-1.65 lakh.
