According to a recent video uploaded by PK Techindi on YouTube, the BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 S has started reaching the dealerships while the brand is expected to officially launch the motorcycle in the coming days. Since the “S” moniker in the name of the motorcycle represents a single-channel ABS unit, the more affordable BS6-compliant variant of the standard RE Classic is now available in the market at a price tag of INR 1,57,097 (ex-showroom).
Coming to the changes on the updated variant, the motorcycle now features a fuel-injected engine complying to the BS6 emission norms. In addition to this, the BS6 motorcycle now features an extra catalytic convertor as well as an oxygen sensor. Apart from this, the updated motorcycle has not been imparted with any cosmetic changes. The BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 S will be available to the customers in the similar Pure Black and Mercury Silver colour schemes.
Coming to the design language, the motorcycle features similar designing traits when compared to its BS4 counterpart. The blacked-out components which include the spoke wheels, body fenders, rearview mirrors, as well as indicators, remain the same while the brand has also retained the 2D graphics on the fuel tank as seen in the BS4 version.
Powering the BS6 350 S is the same 346cc, single-cylinder, 4-stroke, air-cooled engine that powers the standard BS6-compliant Classic version. The engine is capable of offering maximum power of 19.1 bhp @ 5250 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm @ 4000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The motorcycle features a disc brake setup at the front while the rear has been equipped with a drum brake mated to single-channel ABS as standard.
