According to a recent report by GaadiWaadi, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 will be getting big updates soon. The brand is looking forward to introducing a BS6-compliant engine in the current-gen 346cc Classic motorcycle line-up with the inclusion of fuel injection technology. It is also being reported that the BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 will be getting three new colours and factory-fitted alloy wheels.
Although nothing has been officially revealed yet, it is being said that the Gunmetal Grey version of the Classic 350 will get factory-fitted alloy wheels whereas the Stealth Black will be a new addition in the colour palette of the 346cc motorcycle. Earlier, the shade was only available in the 500cc classic series.
In addition to the Stealth Black and updated Gunmetal Grey colour options, the BS6 Royal Enfield Classic 350 is also expected to get a new Chrome paint scheme that will be offered in combination with spoke wheels. This colour combination will be heavily inspired by the Classic 500 Chrome Edition.
The Stealth Black shade that we are discussing will get alloy wheels along with some sticker updates. Apart from all this, some of the existing colour options of the Royal Enfield Classic 350 will feature an updated RE logo on the fuel tank plus they will also get tank stripes and the centre cowl in red shade.
The mechanical specifications of the updated Royal Enfield Classic 350 will include a BS6-compliant version of the existing 346cc, single-cylinder engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 19.8Bhp and 28Nm of peak torque. At present, the engine of the C350 is carbureted and it will most probably be upgraded with the Fi (fuel injection) technology to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. The engine will remain mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
As we have reported multiple times before, the Chennai-based bike manufacturer is also in the process of developing the 2020 next-generation models of the Royal Enfield Classic 350, Bullet 350 and the Thunderbird 350 series, which are being said to be unveiled by the mid of next year. Although nothing has been revealed at the company’s end, according to latest buzz, Royal Enfield is going to discontinue the entire 500cc motorcycle portfolio before the implementation of the BS6 emission norms on April 1, 2020.
