One of the most anticipated motorcycles, the BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X has been spotted several times testing on the Indian roads. The production version of the motorcycle is expected to hit the Indian market shortly.
The recently spied test mule of the motorcycle gives a clear insight to the production-spec design of the motorcycle while at the same time features additional official accessories, which will be made available to the customers at the time of launch.
The updated model of the RE Thunderbird 350X can be seen with the same retro-inspired switchgear as seen on the 2020 Classic 350. In addition to this, the spy shots also show the motorcycle with a single pod instrument panel as well as adjustable levers.
The BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X has been spotted with a tall windscreen at the front while the motorcycle features a black engine guard. The brand has equipped the cruiser bike with saddlebag mounts finished in chrome. The saddle mounts can be further used as saree guards while the brand is now offering round pillion and rider footpegs with the updated edition of the motorcycle.
The single pod instrument cluster seen on the test mule of the motorcycle is a first for Thunderbird series which replaces the twin-pod unit seen on the current variant. The motorcycle now gets a new double-cradle frame in addition to a new BS6-compliant engine unit.
The brand has equipped the BS6 Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X with a new single horn set up in addition to offering a redesigned tail lamp design as well as a split seat that replaces the single-seat saddle seen on the current version.
Royal Enfield is expected to launch the updated motorcycle sometime in early 2020 while one can expect it to be priced in close vicinity of INR 1.80 lakh to INR 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched in India, the motorcycle will compete with the likes of Jawa 42 and the new model of the Bajaj Dominar 400.
