As per an official post by Royal Enfield on its Facebook page, the online sale for the Classic 500 Tribute Black limited-edition motorcycle has concluded and the bookings have been closed. Here is what the brand has to say about it:
“A legacy that is over a decade old came to an end, with the conclusion of the online sale of the Limited Edition Classic Tribute Black. The last to carry the legendary UCE 500cc engine. Congratulations to all the lucky owners and thank you to all who participated.”
The online sale window was open on the brand’s official website between 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on February 10, 2020, and those who had a unique code generated earlier were given the chance to try their luck to own the Classic 500 Tribute Black. The brand has charged INR 50,000 as the booking amount while the motorcycle is priced at INR 2.49 lakh (on-road Delhi).
The Classic 500 Tribute Black has been handcrafted at the Tiruvottiyur factory in Chennai. Mechanically, the retro cruiser motorcycle remains powered by the same BS4-compliant 499cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine that churns out a maximum power of 27.2HP @ 5250 rpm along with a peak torque of 41.3Nm @ 4000 rpm. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
The design elements of the Classic 500 Tribute Black is something that attracts the most. It comes featured with a unique ‘End of Build’ serial number in addition to an eye-catching dual-tone black colour scheme with golden accents. The motorcycle will be delivered on a first-come-first-serve basis. The deliveries of the limited-edition Classic 500 are expected to commence by the end of this month.
