Royal Enfield recently launched the 120th Anniversary Editions of the Interceptor 650 and Continental GT 650 at the EICMA 2021. Both the motorcycles are specially designed while taking into consideration their golden 120-year journey.
The brand had announced that a total of only 480 units would be available globally, and among them, 120 units would be sold in our country. In India, 60 units of the Interceptor 650 and 60 units of the Continental GT 650 will be sold.
Yesterday, on December 6, 2021, Royal Enfield opened the sale window for both bikes at 7:00 PM according to Indian time, and surprisingly, the bikes were sold out in less than 120 seconds, setting a record for one of the fastest online sales in recent times.
During the sale, both 120th Anniversary Edition bikes were available on a first-come, first-serve basis. The whole anniversary edition package includes special blacked-out RE Genuine motorcycling accessory kits as well as a 3-year OEM warranty and extended warranty for the 4th and 5th years.

To ensure uniqueness, each of these bikes will have a unique serial number on the tank top emblem, signifying that it is one of 60 unique motorcycles in any of the four zones specified throughout the world. These motorcycles will only be available for purchase online in India. These new bikes are aesthetically upgraded versions of regular 650cc twins with no mechanical or functional changes. The limited-edition versions have an all-black paint scheme with hand-painted golden stripes on the fuel tank.
To create a contrasting look, Royal Enfield has matte-blackened the internals and mechanical components of the bikes, such as the engine, exhaust, front and rear suspension, and handlebar. While complimenting the overall aesthetic, the motorcycles will be outfitted with genuine accessories like flyscreens, heel guards, engine guards, touring and bar-end mirrors, all in black. The 650 Twins are inspired by the renowned Royal Enfield Interceptor 750 and Continental GT 250 of the 1960s, and they have played a significant role in RE’s global development and success in recent years.
