MY2021 Royal Enfield CGT 650 Launched in India: In addition to the MY2021 Interceptor 650, Royal Enfield has also launched the MY2021 of the Continental GT 650 in the Indian markets with a starting ex-showroom price tag of INR 2.92 lakhs while the price range goes all the way up to INR 3.13 lakhs for the chrome edition.
The Chennai-based 2-wheeler brand has launched four new colours for the 2021 model of CGT 650: Rocker Red, British Racing Green, Dux Deluxe and Ventura Storm. In addition to the new shades, the motorcycle continues to be available in Mr Clean (Chrome Edition). In total, like the 2020 version, the MY2021 Continental GT 650 is available in five colour options.
With the launch of new shades, Royal Enfield has discontinued the Black Magic, Ventura Blue, Ice Queen, and Dr Mayhem colour options. Here is the colour-wise ex-showroom price list for the MY2021 Continental GT:
Powering the MY2021 Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 is the same 648cc parallel-twin, 4-stroke, fuel-injected engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 47HP @ 7150 rpm and a peak torque of 52Nm @ 5250 rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The motorcycle features a disc brake setup at either end while the suspension bits also remains the same, with telescopic forks at the front and dual shock absorbers at the rear end.
It was earlier rumoured that the new model of Royal Enfield Continental GT 650 would be getting an updated instrument console featuring ‘Tripper Navigation’ but for now, the brand has skipped the update and the bike continues with the old instrument console.
The new colour options have already started reaching the showrooms while the deliveries are expected to begin in the coming weeks.
