Naked Royal Enfield Himalayan Spotted (Based On Himalayan 450)

We have seen many spy shots of Himalayan test mules running around the streets. And with every test, they made further details and specifications clearer. Recently, a fresh set of images of a new Royal Enfield naked bike based on the Himalayan 450 are making rounds on the internet. The previous test, including the Himalayan 450, hinted about a bigger motorcycle in the works, and these spy shots may confirm it.

The images suggest the new Himalayan be equipped with a liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine similar to the Himalayan 450 test mule. Other similarities include the chrome circular instrument console, front disc, turn indicators and saree guard.

With all the similarities, it doesn’t mean that they just reproduced the Himalayan 450. Alloy wheels, telescopic forks instead of USD forks, a single-piece seat unit, and possibly a 17-inch/19-inch rim at the front are some of the differential factors in this new test mule.

It still seems to carry the same frame and mono-shock suspension at the rear as seen in the Himalayan 450, contrarily it has no windscreen. No more details are available as of now, but there is a possibility that this new test mule might represent an upcoming variant of Himalayan 450. This latest variant would be the counterpart of the existing bike and could act as an easy urban commuter and a highway tourer.

And if that is the case, then this new variant might be the Hunter 450 or maybe the Scram 450 in the making. Whatever the case, the bike is clearly in the early days of its testing and development, so it could not move to the production phase this early.
