Finally, the Chennai-based two-wheeler brand Royal Enfield has launched the much-awaited Hunter 350 motorcycle in the Indian market. It has been launched in three variants – Retro, Metro, and Metro Rebel. Here is the variant-wise ex-showroom price list for the all-new Royal Enfield Hunter 350:
Coming to the key details, the RE Hunter 350 Retro Factory Series is the most basic one with spoke wheels and single-channel ABS. It is available in two shades – Black and White. Then comes the Metro Dapper Series, which has alloy wheels and a dual-channel ABS unit. It is available in three shades – Silver, Grey, and White.
Talking about the top-spec Hunter 350 Rebel Series, which has been launched with an ex-showroom price tag of Rs 1.69 lakhs, also comes equipped with alloy wheels and a dual-channel ABS unit as standard. It is available in three dual-tone colours – Red-Black, White-Black, and Blue-White.
Royal Enfield Hunter 350 is essentially a roadster variant of the Meteor cruiser bike, and it is powered by the new J-engine, which debuted with the Meteor 350. Coming to the key technical specifications, the RE Hunter 350 is powered by a 349cc, 4-stroke, single-cylinder, air/oil-cooled, BS6-compliant engine, which generates a maximum power of 20.2 Bhp at 6100 rpm and a peak torque of 27 Nm at 4000 rpm. The engine has been mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Coming to the suspension and brakes, the motorcycle has been equipped with traditional telescopic front forks and twin rear shocks with preload adjustment. The braking system is also similar to that of the Meteor 350, with twin-piston 300mm front and single-piston 270mm rear disc brakes (both with floating callipers). According to the model you choose, there are two ABS options – single-channel and dual-channel. At this price point, the new Royal Enfield Hunter 350 competes in the market with the likes of the Bajaj Avenger 220 and the TVS Ronin 225.
