Royal Enfield 650 Twins India Launch in Summer 2018

Royal Enfield 650 Twins India Launch Confirmed: Royal Enfield has officially confirmed that both the twin cylinder motorcycles will enter India in summer 2018. After their showcasing at Rider Mania 2017, Royal Enfield 650 twins are expected to enter production in the coming months in Chennai.

Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

Not just that, they even promised that the bike will be available across their 750 dealerships around India by the end of 2018. Rudratej Singh from Royal Enfield even clarified the reason behind Europe focused launch.

Those markets are license restricted and demands of A2 license friendly bikes are high in Europe. Number of riders in Europe is on decline and they are here to reverse the process. Royal Enfield 650 twins are definitely the next big thing in the Indian automotive industry.

Powered by a 648 cc, twin cylinder engine, the motorcycles are good for 47 HP at 7100 rpm and 52 Nm at 4000 rpm. They miss the iconic Royal Enfield thump but still, the new roar is much more comfortable and exciting for open roads.

Royal Enfield Continental GT 650

The brand has promised stricter testing with their new products as last generation Himalayan created blunder in the industry due to its poorly tested components. They will manufacture these bikes in small batches and test everything before delivery.

Siddartha Lal, in an interview with AutoCar India, said: “My job now as CEO is to make sure we do the right thing, and the type of gate control and sold gate process before we start series production and before we start series sales. Thus, even after production but before delivery, we still don’t have to start delivery. This means that if we produce 10,000 motorcycles but for some reason if I’m not satisfied, I will make sure I will not deliver motorcycles till we sort out the problems. That’s the rigor that we’re going through this time.”
