Royal Enfield Classic 350 S Launched in India

Royal Enfield has silently launched the Classic 350 S at a price tag of INR 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom). The “S” moniker on the more affordable version of the Classic 350 denotes the single-channel ABS unit equipped on the motorcycle. Royal Enfield launched the dual-channel ABS variant of the C350 some time ago when the new safety norms came into effect on April 1, 2019. The brand has also launched the most affordable Bullet series, the Royal Enfield 350X and its electric start variant a month ago.

According to the brand, the Royal Enfield Classic 350 S is currently available in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The customers can further avail the motorcycle in Pure Black and Mercury Silver colour variants. The 350 S variant of the most popular Royal Enfield series is INR 9000 lesser in price when compared to the dual-channel ABS variant that is currently available at INR 1.54 lakh (ex-showroom).

Coming to the design language, the motorcycle features a lot of blackened components including the engine, wheels, body fenders as well as the rearview mirrors. In addition to this, the Classic 350 S also features 2D graphics on the fuel tank which replaces the 3D graphics available on the dual-channel ABS variant.

Apart from these, the mechanical bits of the motorcycle remains the same. Powering the Royal Enfield Classic 350 S is the same 346cc single-cylinder engine that is capable of churning out a maximum power of 19.8 Bhp at 5,250 rpm and a peak torque of 28 Nm at 4,000 rpm. The engine is mated to a 5-speed transmission.

The suspension duties on the motorcycle are handled by telescopic forks at the front while the rear has been equipped with twin gas-charged shock absorbers. The 350 S variant gets a disc brake at the front while the rear now features a drum brake setup like the Bullet series.
