Second biggest market of Latin America, Argentina is home to some important Indian brands like Hero and Bajaj Auto. Dealership will offer sale, service and spare support to Royal Enfield owners of the country. Royal Enfield is presently established in Brazil and Colombia.
Grupo Simpa will be their official partner for Argentina as marketing and after sales department will be handled by them. As all other countries, Royal Enfield is offering four big displacement options for buyers in Argentina.
Bullet 500 will be their starting model while range topping Continental GT will be the most expensive model on offer. Himalayan will be available with ABS in Argentina while Classic 500 will be their fourth and final model for Argentina.
Indian market has 790 dealerships of Royal Enfield while they export to 50+ countries throughout the world. They have 36 exclusive brand stores in important cities worldwide. Royal Enfield will share 499cc, single cylinder fuel injected engine in two of the bikes, producing 27.1 BHP and 41.4 Nm of torque. The engine comes mated to a 5-speed gearbox.
Apart from that, Continental GT 535 is a niche product with more powerful 535cc, fuel injected engine producing 29.1 BHP at 5100 rpm and 44 Nm at 4000 rpm.
No other single cylinder engine is more powerful than this one in Royal Enfield lineup. Himalayan is another niche product with off-road biased built and all new 411cc engine. This motor is good for 32 Nm and offers impressive performance on all types of terrain.
Royal Enfield is yet to announce the entry of bigger 650cc twin cylinder motorcycles to major markets. When they arrive, no other product would exist in India to offer that sort of value for money approach. Argentina is one among three important Latin American markets and RE will soon plan expansion with more touch points in the country.
