Royal Enfield Himalayan ABS Bookings Now Open in India

Bookings for the 2018 Royal Enfield Himalayan ABS are unofficially open with select dealers across the country. The model is said to command INR 10,000 over the regular price tag, hinting at a dual channel unit similar to Classic 350 Signals Edition. As most brands charge between INR 12,000-14,000 for ABS option, it won’t be wrong for Royal Enfield to put INR 10,000 worth hike for the buyers to get the safer version. Signals Edition, on the other hand, came with INR 14,000 worth increase from the price tag of dual disc model of Classic 350.

The ABS equipped variant of Himalayan will be the most effectively priced premium adventure tourer of India, expected with a price tag of INR 1.78-1.80 lakh for regular as well as Sleet version. The engine will remain the same 411cc, single cylinder unit, producing 32 Nm of maximum torque. As this motorcycle belongs to the adventure segment, getting a switchable ABS unit will be more preferable. Himalayan features fuel injection and fans expect Royal Enfield to go through rigorous testing before presenting the feature loaded version before the audience. The brand will soon bring standard ABS on all models.
