Royal Enfield Himalayan FT 411 Officially Revealed

Royal Enfield Himalayan FT 411, a custom-built motorcycle from the brand has been officially unveiled at the Rider Mania 2019. The flat-track look of the bike has been specifically offered by the customizers at the ‘Autologue Design’ while the reports suggest that Royal Enfield will be using the same motorcycle for its upcoming ‘Slide School’, which is essentially a riding school organised by the brand at Big Rock Dirt Park, Bengaluru.

The customized motorcycle features different styling traits in comparison to the current-gen road-legal Himalayan model. The brand has replaced the retro headlight with a number plate while the instrument console has also been removed from the Royal Enfield Himalayan FT 411.

Staying true to its Flat Tracker style, the brand has removed the front brakes of the motorcycle in addition to replacing the stock exhaust unit with an all-new performance exhaust system from S&S. The brand has also offered the new race-inspired motorcycle with 18-inch Timsun (TS697) tubeless tyres.

The chassis of the motorcycle has been kept intact in its stock condition though the brand has replaced the air intake unit with a new performance unit while the airbox has also been given a miss. The use of new fibre bodywork for the rear of the motorcycle as well as the number plate adds to the authentic Flat Tracker style which further gets a new custom seat design.

Royal Enfield has also removed the turn indicators on the Himalayan FT 411 in addition to removing the footpegs. The custom-made model weighs just 164kg, which makes it 30kg lighter when compared to the stock model.

Apart from these, the brand has retained the same engine on the FT 411. Powering the motorcycle is the same 411cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that is capable to generate a maximum power of 24.5HP and a peak torque of 32Nm. The Himalayan FT 411 has been designed only for the track and the motorcycle is not available for sale to the general audience as it’s not a road-legal motorcycle.
