As per the latest buzz, Royal Enfield is all set to launch a new 650cc bike in the Indian market in the coming months. Most probably a scrambler, the upcoming motorcycle would be based on the BS6 model of the Interceptor 650. IAB recently also released a rendered image of the Scrambler 650, flaunting all of the necessary elements that buyers can expect from the Indian motorcycle brand.
As one can spot in the rendered image, the first and most noticeable part for Scrambler 650 is the off-road tyres, looking perfect on the scrambler-style body. The dark theme can be seen on each of the element and it is highest visible in the engine area as well as the exhaust system. Another visible change is the black headlight with protector and raised handlebar for the easy riding position.
Royal Enfield has already hinted at products that will be higher-than-usual in terms of the engine displacement and are expected to be price-effective for its category. The launch price of INR 2.50 lakh for the Interceptor 650 has cleared the fact that Scrambler 650 will be priced under INR 3 lakh (ex-showroom).
The suspension travel for the Scrambler 650 will definitely be enhanced to add practicality to the design. The brand is further expected to equip the upcoming 650cc motorcycle with thick off-road tyres to increase the overall ground clearance in comparison to the Interceptor 650.
In addition to the new 650cc bike, the Chennai-based brand is also going to launch the much-awaited Meteor 350 in the coming days. It is basically a replacement for the ageing Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350. One can expect more details on the new 650cc bike to surface online soon.
