After being spotted multiple times in gloss black shade, the production-ready model of the much-talked-about Royal Enfield Meteor 350 has been recently spotted in bright yellow colour for the first time. According to Mad Biker (YouTube), he spotted the upcoming cruiser motorcycle in Kutch during the TV commercial shoot.
As we reported earlier, the Meteor 350 is a replacement for the Thunderbird 350 while the official launch is expected to take place after 1-2 months. Earlier the RE Meteor 350 was expected to launch in India next month but due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the brand won’t be able to launch the motorcycle anytime soon.
The motorcycle is based on the J-Platform while the brand has codenamed it as J1C0. In addition to this, the brand is expected to roll out several new products under the same platform specification.
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 features almost similar character traits when compared to the present-gen Thunderbird variant though the body language has been majorly tweaked by the brand. The front and rear fenders of the upcoming motorcycle have been revised while the fuel tank design has also been offered a new outlook accentuating the bulkier character.
In addition to this, the Meteor has been equipped with a revised alloy wheels setup while the digital-analogue instrument panel is also new and has been positioned in the centre of the handlebar. The Meteor 350 has been further equipped with a tweaked headlight and taillight unit while the grab rails are also new.
The motorcycle is expected to be powered by the brand’s next-gen BS6-compliant air-cooled engine while the exact engine specifications and performance figures are unknown for now. The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 is expected to be launched in India with a premium of INR 10,000-15,000 over the present-gen Thunderbird 350X version which is currently available in the market at INR 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom).
