Royal Enfield Meteor 650 Spotted AgainTo Launch in India This Year

Royal Enfield is gearing up to release a bunch of new motorcycles based on its 650cc platform. The Super Meteor 650 cruiser, which has been spotted undergoing road tests yet again, is one of the most anticipated offerings among these. The upcoming Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 has been spotted testing again after being last seen in November 2021 and appears to be production-ready.

Every component appears to be in finished form, from the blacked-out engine casing to the chrome-finished exhaust canister. The rider is sitting in a relaxed, tour-friendly posture, which is typical of a cruiser. The bike has a pulled-back handlebar, forward-set footpegs, and a roomy split-type seat. Intriguingly, the Super Meteor 650 is likely to be the first Royal Enfield bike to feature USD forks in the front, as opposed to the existing modelsconventional telescopic units.

In terms of mechanical specs, powering the Super Meteor 650 will be the same 648cc air-oil cooled, parallel-twin engine that already performs duties in the Interceptor and Continental GT. Mated to a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper clutch, the engine is capable of churning out 47bhp of max power and 52 Nm of max torque. The hardware components will be slightly different from the current RE 650 twins. The suspension will be built up using upside-down front forks and twin-sided rear springs. Disc brakes on both ends will be used for braking, which will be assisted by a dual-channel ABS as standard.
