Royal Enfield Meteor Cruiser Spotted Undisguised Again

A new set of images of the production-ready 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor cruiser has recently surfaced online. The upcoming Royal Enfield Thunderbird variant which will be christened as Meteor has been spotted again in an all-black avatar. The motorcycle doesn’t feature any camouflage thus offering the customers a clear insight into what to expect from the much-talked-about cruiser.

The Royal Enfield Meteor will be replacing the very famous Royal Enfield Thunderbird 350X in the brand’s portfolio, though the logic behind the name change still makes RE enthusiasts rather curious. The soon-to-be-launched Meteor is based on the brand’s J Platform which will act as a basis of various other powerful cruisers from the brand.

The motorcycle features almost similar character traits when compared to the present-gen Thunderbird variant though the body language has been majorly tweaked by the brand. The front and rear fenders of the upcoming motorcycle have been revised while the fuel tank design has also been offered a new outlook accentuating the bulkier character. In addition to this, the Meteor has been equipped with a revised alloy wheels setup while the all-new digital-analogue instrument panel is also new and has been positioned in the centre of the handlebar.

The 2020 Royal Enfield Meteor has been further equipped with a tweaked headlight and taillight unit while the grab rails are also new. The all-black colour scheme on the motorcycle has been carried onto the exhaust system as well as the engine housing.

The motorcycle is expected to be powered by the brand’s next-gen BS6-compliant air-cooled engine while the exact engine specifications and performance figures are unknown for now. The Royal Enfield Meteor cruiser is expected to be launched in India with a premium of INR 10,000-15,000 over the present-gen Thunderbird 350X version which is currently available in the market at INR 1.63 lakh (ex-showroom).
