Royal Enfield Rumbler 350 has been launched in Australia for AUD 6790 (INR 3.40 lakh approx). The motorcycle is a re-branded Thunderbird 350 as this name is already under Triumph’s registration.
Buyers can opt from Lightning, Stone and Marine shade. They have even added orange reflectors on the front forks (mandatory) while everything else remains exactly the same as India spec Thunderbird 350.
From 2002, the basic design of Thunderbird 350 is almost same and just technological updates were given from time to time. Australian market will get Rumbler 350 under Learner Approved Motorcycle Scheme due to its power output.
Rumbler 350 is powered by a 346cc, single cylinder engine producing 19.8 BHP at 5250 rpm and 28 Nm at 4000 rpm. The high torque output at low rpm range makes it good for easy riding on Australian roads. The engine comes with carburetor fed fuel assembly and uses 5-speed gearbox for ease of cruising.
Front and rear end comes equipped with disc brakes while projector headlight at front ensures easy low light riding. Rumbler 350 is equipped with an informative console that is primarily analogue. Royal Enfield is slowly expanding its product network in new markets for better brand presence.
They are currently shipping products to Australian, European and American continents. African markets may not be so easy to consider as all three continents mentioned above have strong economies. These markets allow them to sell good number of products, even after getting double the price tag as Indian market.
Lineup of Royal Enfield includes Classic, Bullet and Thunderbird series. They have recently introduced 650cc twins internationally while Himalayan could not gain the required traction as other bikes got on their time of introduction. Royal Enfield is India’s fifth highest selling brand and definitely one among the most profitable brands of all time.
