EICMA 2019 has been graced with a host of worth-mentioning motorcycles from the brands and keeping the enthusiasm running, Royal Enfield has finally showcased its Interceptor 650-based scrambler motorcycle. The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 is a custom-made motorcycle that is based on the design lines of the Interceptor 650 while featuring the authentic scrambler traits.
Coming to the design, the custom motorcycle has been graced with a high-set exhaust system which adds to its old school Scrambler stance while the use of off-road tyres at either side with 18-inch spoke rims adds to its distinguished persona. The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 features a dual-tone colour scheme with a combination of dark black and sterling silver. In addition to this, the scrambler styling is further complemented with a chopped rear fender and a flat-cushion single piece saddle.
Apart from the cosmetic changes, the 650cc scrambler continues to feature the same engine specifications as that of the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. The 648cc, air-cooled, parallel-twin engine is capable to generate a maximum power of 47HP and a peak torque of 52Nm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed gearbox.
The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and dual-shock absorbers at the rear. The braking power is offered by disc brakes at either end with a dual-channel ABS unit as standard. Though the brand has showcased the custom-made Scrambler 650 as a show bike only, one can expect the Chennai-based manufacturer to bring out something on the same lines in the coming months.
